Amazing what someone who doesn't know music can produce.

So how do I know he doesn't know music? On one of his covers the bass part is very wrong, most discordant, something only the rankest beginner might do and not likely even then.

Here's another good one.

But isn't that image of a band of clones creepy? He's made 33 songs in one week. How can humans compete? It's like John Henry vs. the steam drill.

Even better.

I miss harmony singing. Not to mention chords, melodies, and rhythm.

It may be AI but this guy is a very good songwriter. Give me the same AI and I don't think I could get anywhere close. And it's unrealistic to think he/she could put together a band to do this real life. Even if they somehow did it would go nowhere, so it's AI or nothing.

I however don't expect this to last. The same sort of thing happened when Hatsune Miku was released. All of a sudden bedroom songwriters had a voice. All sorts of creative stuff came out. Then boom it turned into bland formulaic disco. It was so sudden. After that day not even one composer made anything worthwhile. Strange, eh? I lost interest and didn't return.

Enough talk. Encore!

Well damn, that's the best pop song I've heard in ages. In 1965 that would have been a number one hit. Sixty years later...

Rockabilly. Roppongi had and maybe still has a big rockabilly club that was popular. People went there to get drunk and have a good time. Singer in a poodle skirt. It was popular in Japan back then so this a nostalgic thing for them.

Old US styles are more popular in Japan than in the US. Stephen Foster, banjo playing, jazz, barbershop quartet, 80's hard rock, etc. Contemporary styles like rap are seldom heard.

Japanese is a very good language for rock and roll. Lots of k's makes it percussive.

It says it's "Ai.". From Indonesia, the channel name means "original sound." Surprisingly Indonesia got very good AI fakery videos long before the USA did. I guess the tools come from China. Mostly they are fake encounters with animals. They look real but have highly implausible situations. It's just entertainment, not trying to fool you.

Interesting this is what ChatGPT said. However I saw in some other page with this same girl singing 6 other songs. And each song was TikTok AI identified. And coincidentally ai is part of the song title

Yes it doesn't have that superhuman quality that AI usually has. And Ai could be a chinese word. So I guess Original Sound didn't have originality this time.
