SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the automation of Value Added Services (VAS) via the Sim Tool Kit (STK) on Android and iPhone devices. Users find the manual process of selecting VAS and confirming via SMS tedious and seek solutions to streamline this through mobile applications. The conversation highlights the potential for third-party apps to automate these recurring tasks, particularly in scenarios like mobile recharges. Participants suggest exploring resources like XDA Developers for existing solutions.

Hi PF,
In general, one can enable VAS (Value Added Services) provided by subscriber via the STK (Sim Tool Kit). However, I think its actually tedious to open the STK, select the required VAS, confirm your selection via SMS every time. I would like to know, if it is possible to automate some recurring VAS features using an Android/iphone app?

I'm sorry you are not finding help at the moment. Is there any additional information you can share with us?

Your best bet might be to check at http://xda-developers.com
Post on the Q&A form for your phone or general android
There's a chance that someone else has already someone has a 3rd party app that automates the process for you.

@greg
Sorry for the late responses. Consider this case. I want to check my recharge my smartphone. For this I go to the nearest retailer and he will be using the following procedure
1. Using dialer, I will be initiating *111# and the request is sent to my network provider
2. after a couple of seconds, a pop-up with six options appear

Select
1 - To add Air-time
2 - To add Data pack
3 - To pay a bill

Now, the retailer selects '1' and clicks 'Send' option.
The next pop-up asks the retailer to Enter the Mobile number to get recharged. The retailer enters the numbers and hits 'Send'
the next pop-up appears again to confirm the number. The retailer 'Confirms'
the next pop-up is used to enter the air-time value to be added. Finally the retailer hits 'Send'

My mobile finally gets recharged and I pay the retailer

This recharge procedure in hard wired in the retailer's sim card. Now my query is if this process can be carried lot more easily using an mobile app?

@Routaran
Thanks for the info. Will post my query even on XDA

Thanks again

I am having a hell of a time finding a good all-in-one inkjet printer. I must have gone through 5 Canon, 2 HP, one Brother, one Epson and two 4 X 6 photo printers in the last 7 yrs. all have all sort of problems. I don't even know where to start anymore. my price range is $180-$400, not exactly the cheapest ones. Mainly it's for my wife which is not exactly good in tech. most of the problem is the printers kept changing the way it operate. Must be from auto update. I cannot turn off the...
