SUMMARY

The atomic structures of atoms 117 (Tennessine) and 119 (Ununennium) are under discussion, with element 117 expected to exhibit properties similar to halogens due to its position in the periodic table. Tennessine is predicted to have a complex electron configuration that influences its chemical behavior. Element 119, still hypothetical, is anticipated to possess unique properties that may differ significantly from lighter alkali metals.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of periodic table trends
  • Knowledge of electron configurations
  • Familiarity with halogen properties
  • Basic concepts of atomic structure
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the electron configuration of Tennessine (element 117)
  • Explore the chemical properties of halogens
  • Investigate theoretical properties of Ununennium (element 119)
  • Study the implications of superheavy elements in chemistry
USEFUL FOR

Chemistry students, researchers in atomic physics, and anyone interested in the properties of superheavy elements and their potential applications.

what would the atomic structures of atoms 117 & 119 look like and what properties would these elements have?

i don't really know, but most probably, element 117 would ressemble the halogens.
