Has anyone heard from SLAC yet? At this point I'm fairly sure I didn't get accepted but some closure would be nice.
This thread discusses the application process and updates regarding the SULI (Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships) program and other related internships for summer 2017. Participants share their application experiences, acceptance notifications, and challenges faced during the process.
Participants generally share their individual experiences and updates, but there is no consensus on the acceptance outcomes as many are still awaiting responses. Multiple competing views exist regarding the application process and timelines.
Some participants mention specific issues related to application requirements, such as the PII rule, and the variability in response times from different institutions. There is also a recognition that the application process can be stressful and uncertain.
Students interested in applying for summer internships in STEM fields, particularly those related to physics and engineering, may find this discussion relevant for understanding the application landscape and timelines.
Don't worry, I haven't heard back from them yet either. Hopefully that just means they're still making their final decisions before they release them.abk1207 said:Has anyone heard from SLAC yet? At this point I'm fairly sure I didn't get accepted but some closure would be nice.
CassiniDivision said:I have been accepted to SULI Fermilab and a SURF program at Caltech and am not sure which one to take. The Fermilab opportunity is much closer to my home (easy driving distance) and pays more. Any insights or suggestions? Is there any huge difference in quality/prestige of these two programs?
