AI Thread Summary
The grey background on the forum is effective for cleaning screens and assessing display panel brightness uniformity. It helps users easily identify smudges and imperfections, including dead pixels. To achieve this uniform grey background, users can open developer tools, delete page content, and switch to full screen. However, the effectiveness of this method may vary depending on the type of screen, as some users report that smudges visible on a black background are less noticeable on the grey background. Overall, this technique serves as a useful life hack for screen maintenance.

It turns out the background grey tone on this forum is the perfect shade for cleaning screens. And assessing the brightness uniformity of your display panel. It lets you spot smudges and imperfections easily. I also spotted a dead pixel on my display that will forever annoy me until the end of time now that I know where it is.

Just open dev tools (F12), delete all the page content and press F11 to go full screen for a uniform grey background.

If all I did was look at PF I'd never have to clean my screen.

I found a similar documentary in English called The Human Cost of AI: Data workers in the Global South. There is also an interview with Milagros Miceli (appearing in both documentaries) on Youtube: I also found a powerpoint presentation by the economist Uma Rani (appearing in the French documentary), AI...
