Transfer from physics to engineering

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the possibility of transferring from a science program at the University of Toronto Scarborough to an engineering program at McMaster University or the University of Toronto St. George campus. The participant is seeking advice on whether accepting the alternate offer in sciences would facilitate a future transfer to computer engineering or astronomy after one year. Responses confirm that transferring is feasible, provided the participant meets the necessary academic requirements and prerequisites for the desired engineering programs.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of university transfer policies
  • Knowledge of academic prerequisites for engineering programs
  • Familiarity with the application process for transferring universities
  • Awareness of the specific requirements for computer engineering and astronomy degrees
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the transfer policies of McMaster University and University of Toronto St. George
  • Investigate the academic prerequisites for computer engineering and astronomy programs
  • Connect with academic advisors at the University of Toronto Scarborough for guidance
  • Review the course offerings and requirements for the science program to ensure alignment with engineering goals
USEFUL FOR

Students considering a transition from a science program to an engineering program, academic advisors, and individuals seeking to understand university transfer processes.

I have a question
I got rejected from my engineering courses but was given an alternate offer to admit into sciences. So if I except the offer can i transfer to an engineering University after one year because I really want to get an computer engineering degree or an astronomy degree . The science offer came from University of Toronto Scarborough, and I plan to transfer to McMaster or U of T St Georges. Can someone help me with this because i have to respond by June 2.
