SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the song "Ultrasonic Sound" by DJ Hive, featured in The Matrix soundtrack, which contains a notable quote: "There are doorways I haven't opened, and windows I've yet to look through. Going forward may not be the answer. Maybe I should go back." The sampled lyrics originate from Rod McKuen, performed by San Sebastian Strings, and were released in 1967 on The Earth LP. The sample appears in the music video for Static-X's "Set It Off," specifically between 2:18 and 2:37, set against scenes from Saw III.

there is this great line from a song off the matrix sound track called 'ultrasonic sound' by dj hive. "There are doorways I haven't opened, and windows I've yet to look through. going forward may not be the answer. maybe i should go back". i think its a great line and I'm trying to find where it was sampled from. a movie maybe? video game?

the sample can be found here at 2:18-2:37 that is used in a music video of Static-X's Set it off set to scenes of Saw III (warning- extreme simulated violence)

any info would be great. thanks.

I gave up on trying to find the actual lyrics, but the sample is taken from song lyrics written by Rod McKuen and performed by San Sebastian Strings. It was released in 1967 on The Earth LP.

Good luck hunting down those lyrics.
