AI Thread Summary
An unusual object captured on an infrared camera in a YouTube video has sparked curiosity, but without additional context, it remains difficult to identify. One suggestion is that the object could be a lighthouse filmed from a ship, as the movement may indicate a camera rotation. The lack of specific details limits the ability to provide a definitive explanation. The discussion may be closed due to the speculative nature of the responses. Further information would be necessary for a more accurate identification.

Hi I have found a YT video in which there is an object recorded on infra red camera. It makes very strange maneouver. Is there any explanation what this could be? Thank you ( I have edited video so it shows only interesting moment).

Looks like someone/something rotated the camera a bit.

With exactly zero contextual information it could be literally anything that emits light, taken from anywhere, by anything. So I'm going to say it is a lighthouse, videotaped from the deck of a ship. If you can provide more information we may be able to do better with an ID, but otherwise we'll have to lock the thread as having no purpose but idle speculation.

Didn't find any more info but the explanation with rotated camera is fair enough. Thread can be closed.

Is a homemade radio telescope realistic? There seems to be a confluence of multiple technologies that makes the situation better than when I was a wee lad: software-defined radio (SDR), the easy availability of satellite dishes, surveillance drives, and fast CPUs. Let's take a step back - it is trivial to see the sun in radio. An old analog TV, a set of "rabbit ears" antenna, and you're good to go. Point the antenna at the sun (i.e. the ears are perpendicular to it) and there is...
