Homework Statement


A new pilot with Canjet is asked to find the resultant displacement of his jet if it flies at 345km/h @ 225 degrees into a wind that is blowing at 40km/h from the West. Use the 'construction line' method, components method, AND law of sines and cosines.

Can you show your attempt please as per PF guidelines.

It may help you to consider drawing a freebody diagram and resolving all the forces.
 
Try drawing both vectors from the same origin. If you connect the heads with a line, you will have a triangle, from which you can apply the trig stuff.
