Voltage: Does Magnitude Affect Electric Field Direction?

does the magnitude of voltage influence the direction that the electric field points? I am asking because I think I heard that E points from high to low Voltage... is this correct?

The direction of an electric field points the direction in which a + charge will move so it is from + to -
in electronics it is common for + voltage to be called 'high' and - voltage ' low'
I think this is where confusion might come about.
It has got nothing to do with the magnitude of the voltage
