What are benefits of Electricity of nuclear power plant

AI Thread Summary
Nuclear power plants offer the advantage of being built in various locations, unlike hydro plants that require specific geographical features like elevation. While nuclear energy is generally more expensive per unit than hydroelectric power, it does not rely on limited natural resources. Hydro power is cleaner, quieter, and requires less engineering staff, with no waste products generated. The discussion also touches on the historical context of nuclear energy, referencing Enrico Fermi's contributions. Overall, the conversation highlights the trade-offs between nuclear and hydroelectric energy sources.

Hello
What are benefits of nuclear power plant electricity than hydro power generated electricity
Does it cost less per unit any or the waveform is pure sine wave
how engineer build it .

The actual electricity produced is the same. Nuclear is more expensive than hydro, so I'm not sure there are any advantages to nuclear over hydro...except maybe that hydro is a more limited resource.

How to build a nuclear power station as hydro has limited resources
Enrico Fermi invented it how he start the process
He was very good man but i don't understand how should i build it

Look at a map of power plant installations

and you'll see that hydro is built where there's mountains to provide the elevation difference necessary for hydro power.

So the advantage of nuclear over hydro is you can build nuclear almost anywhere .

The advantages of hydro over nuclear are
there's no steam ,
no huge engineering staff required
no waste products
and the energy for it is free.

A hydro plant is a far more clean quiet and comfortable place to work than any steam plant whether coal gas or nuclear .

that's my thoughts on it.

Have you read all the links in Jim's very helpful reply in Post #5? Please do that reading before asking more questions, and please ask specific questions about the information in those links. Thanks.

Are thinking about building your own nuclear power plant?
