SUMMARY

A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics opens various career opportunities, including roles in research, engineering, data analysis, and education. Job seekers should explore local job listings to identify positions that do not require additional certifications. The decision to pursue a Master’s (M.S.) or Doctorate (Ph.D.) should be based on individual career goals and the specific job market. Engaging in practical work experience before pursuing further education can also be beneficial.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of physics principles and applications
  • Familiarity with job market trends in STEM fields
  • Knowledge of educational pathways in higher education
  • Basic research skills for job listings and career exploration
NEXT STEPS
  • Research career options for physics graduates, focusing on roles in engineering and data science
  • Explore graduate programs in physics and related fields, such as engineering or applied physics
  • Investigate internships or entry-level positions that provide practical experience
  • Network with professionals in the field to gain insights into career trajectories
USEFUL FOR

Recent physics graduates, career advisors, and individuals considering further education in physics or related fields.

Can anyone tell me what can of jobs I can get with just a B.S in physics? Also when I receive my B.S would you suggest working on for M.S and p.h.d or just going to work and get those later on?

Check the job listings in the area you are looking for work in. If there's no professional certification required, you could probably get it if the right circumstances align themselves.

Up to you. We cannot make any recommendations based on the little information you have provided.

I am sorry. I was asking more about the range of jobs I could get! Like what kind of jobs I can get? I hope that makes sense :)
