Homework Help Overview

The discussion revolves around identifying devices that convert different forms of energy, specifically electrical energy to sound energy and chemical energy to electrical energy. Participants are also exploring units of measurement for energy.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Conceptual clarification

Approaches and Questions Raised

  • Participants suggest possible answers for the energy conversion devices, such as "BEEPER" and "BUZZER" for the first question, and "CELL" for the second. There is also a discussion about the unit of measurement for energy, with suggestions like "JOULE" and "GAUGE." Some participants express uncertainty about their answers and seek confirmation from others.

Discussion Status

Several potential answers have been proposed, and participants are engaging in back-and-forth dialogue to validate their guesses. There is a sense of collaboration as they check the compatibility of letters in their answers, but no consensus has been reached on all items yet.

Contextual Notes

Participants are working under the constraints of a puzzle format, which requires specific letter counts for their answers. There is also a sense of urgency expressed by the original poster.

If this is wrong forum please move it I'm in a rush :)

Can you help me?

A device which transforms electrical energy to sound energy (6)
B I _ _ _ R

A device which transforms chemical energy to electrical energy (4)
C _ _ G

If it does not make sense I might have made a mistake so try

I thought as much, but then it leaves me to redo this one.

Unit for measuring energy.

I thought gauge which is where I got the G

Maybe the first one is BEEPER.

It is JOULE.

I know it's definitely

B U _ _ _ _

because it links with an obvious answer

Then how did you come up with GAUGE? Try JOULES. Does the L fit in with CELL?
