AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the search for a device that allows USB ports to be routed over a TCP/IP network, similar to how a serial router facilitates communication between serial ports and a network. The original poster recalls using a product that enabled this functionality for serial connections and is now looking for an equivalent solution for USB. They express frustration with search results for "USB router" and share a link to a potential solution involving USB over IP converters. The focus is on finding a dedicated product that can effectively bridge USB devices to a network, enhancing connectivity and communication capabilities.

I remember having a device in a previous job that you could plug into your TCP/IP network, and would allow you to communicate with several connected serial ports as if they were TCP/IP ports with their own addresses. (I know you could do this with a computer, but there was also a purpose-made product for this.) I want to say it was called a "serial router" or something.

Does anyone know if there's an equivalent product for routing USB ports to a TCP/IP network? Googling "usb router" was really unhelpful lol.
Thanks in advance!

Dear Peeps I have posted a few questions about programing on this sectio of the PF forum. I want to ask you veterans how you folks learn program in assembly and about computer architecture for the x86 family. In addition to finish learning C, I am also reading the book From bits to Gates to C and Beyond. In the book, it uses the mini LC3 assembly language. I also have books on assembly programming and computer architecture. The few famous ones i have are Computer Organization and...
I have a quick questions. I am going through a book on C programming on my own. Afterwards, I plan to go through something call data structures and algorithms on my own also in C. I also need to learn C++, Matlab and for personal interest Haskell. For the two topic of data structures and algorithms, I understand there are standard ones across all programming languages. After learning it through C, what would be the biggest issue when trying to implement the same data...
