Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around the differences between a grid and a sub-station in the context of electrical engineering. Participants express varying levels of familiarity with the topic and the forum's posting guidelines.

Discussion Character

  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant asks for clarification on the difference between a grid and a sub-station.
  • Another participant questions whether the inquiry is a homework question or a general question, suggesting that homework questions require prior effort before assistance can be given.
  • A different participant expresses frustration over not receiving direct answers and instead receiving questions about the nature of the inquiry.
  • Some participants reiterate the need for an attempt at an answer to be shown before assistance is provided, referencing forum rules.
  • There is a suggestion to conduct a web search on 'electric grid' for more information.
  • One participant comments on the perceived inconsistency in responses, noting that answers are provided quickly when known, but not when they are uncertain.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus on the original question regarding the differences between a grid and a sub-station. The discussion reflects a mix of procedural concerns and a lack of direct answers to the technical question posed.

Contextual Notes

There are limitations regarding the clarity of the original question's intent, as well as the expectations for responses based on forum guidelines. The discussion does not resolve the technical differences between the grid and sub-station.

Is this a homework question or a general question? Homework questions first require your effort before assistance can be provided. If this is not a homework question, you should post in the electrical engineering section.

I posted the same question there. They gave me this link. What is going here in this forum? I am new to this forum but are not getting answers instead getting something else.....

Is this a homework question or a general question? It has been assumed that it is a homework question, in which case it belongs in this forum but with your attempt at an answer first shown before assistance can be provided, per forum rules. in either case, you might want to do a web search on 'electric grid'.

When You guys know the answer you reply instantly and when you don't know the answer you do like this...:-)
