SUMMARY

The discussion clarifies that In/Zn = 1 at.% refers to the ratio of indium (In) atoms to zinc (Zn) atoms in doping applications. Specifically, it indicates that for every 100 atoms of zinc oxide, there is 1 atom of indium. The context involves calculating the mass of indium chloride (InCl3) required as a dopant for zinc oxide (ZnO). This ratio is crucial for achieving the desired doping concentration in semiconductor materials.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of atomic percentages in doping
  • Familiarity with semiconductor materials, specifically zinc oxide (ZnO)
  • Knowledge of indium chloride (InCl3) as a dopant
  • Basic principles of mass calculations in chemistry
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the properties and applications of zinc oxide (ZnO) in semiconductors
  • Learn about the preparation and use of indium chloride (InCl3) in doping processes
  • Study atomic percentage calculations in material science
  • Explore the impact of doping on the electrical properties of semiconductors
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for materials scientists, semiconductor engineers, and chemists involved in doping processes for enhancing the properties of zinc oxide and other semiconductor materials.

It sure looks like it. What's the context?

to find mass of indium chloride, InCl3, needed as dopant to dope in zinc oxide...Is it number of atoms dopant(indium in this case) divided by number of molecules of zinc oxide equal to 1%?

Sounds good to me.
