Analysis What’s a good book on transcendental functions?

Click For Summary
The discussion centers on finding resources for hyperbolic functions and other transcendental functions beyond trigonometric functions. A notable recommendation is the three-volume set "Higher Transcendental Functions" by Erdelyi, which is recognized for its comprehensive coverage, although it is not classified as a textbook. Participants express interest in locating additional English-translated materials on hyperbolic functions, indicating a gap in accessible literature on this topic.

I found one ages ago about the hyperbolic functions, but it hadn’t been translated to English from German yet. Anyone know of a good book on hyperbolic functions and other transcendental functions besides the circular functions (trigonometric)?

The most comprehensive reference is the three volume set
Erdelyi, Higher Transcendental Functions
It’s not a textbook, however.

Im currently reading mathematics for physicists by Philippe Dennery and André Krzywicki, and I’m understanding most concepts however I think it would be better for me to get a book on complex analysis or calculus to better understand it so I’m not left looking at an equation for an hour trying to figure out what it means. So here comes the split, do I get a complex analysis book? Or a calculus book? I might be able to Borrow a calculus textbook from my math teacher study that for a bit and...
