AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on finding free online resources for pre-calculus exercises with answers and solutions, particularly for an adult education course transitioning to calculus. A suggested site, Math Worksheets Center, was deemed promising but ultimately not free, prompting a request for alternatives. MIT's OpenCourseWare was mentioned as a valuable resource for calculus, although it doesn't directly address pre-calculus needs. Bill Chen's Elementary Mathematics Notes were also referenced as potentially useful materials. The conversation highlights the challenge of accessing quality educational resources without cost.

I'm doing an adult-education course this semester which aims to take the student from pre-calc to calc in 18 weeks.

The materials on offer at the course (for which I only have 3 contact hours a week) seem pretty slight to me.

Does anyone know of a good online source of exercises and worksheets with answers and worked solutions in pre-calc

Had a look and it seemed promising until I saw the cash register.
Sorry, should have stipulated "free" sites; I'm spoilt by Linux.

Thanks anyway.

This won't really help for precalc, but when you start getting into calculus, definitely take a look at MIT's OpenCourseWare. Many of their courses have free video lectures, assignments, and exams.

Suppose ,instead of the usual x,y coordinate system with an I basis vector along the x -axis and a corresponding j basis vector along the y-axis we instead have a different pair of basis vectors ,call them e and f along their respective axes. I have seen that this is an important subject in maths My question is what physical applications does such a model apply to? I am asking here because I have devoted quite a lot of time in the past to understanding convectors and the dual...
Insights auto threads is broken atm, so I'm manually creating these for new Insight articles. In Dirac’s Principles of Quantum Mechanics published in 1930 he introduced a “convenient notation” he referred to as a “delta function” which he treated as a continuum analog to the discrete Kronecker delta. The Kronecker delta is simply the indexed components of the identity operator in matrix algebra Source: https://www.physicsforums.com/insights/what-exactly-is-diracs-delta-function/ by...
