Where does nonconservative work go in air drag?

Can someone please tell me where W_{nonconservative} goes in the case of Air drag? Does it go into heat and sound, or just heat or other types of energy?

It goes to pushing the air molecules out of the way. Eventually, that energy does become heat, as all energy must.

Sound eventually becomes heat, so you can call it either.
