AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on a request for guidance on posting an idea that seeks to unify processes in physics, chemistry, and cognition as transformations of matter, energy, or information. The individual is looking for confirmation on whether such a concept exists in mainstream science and which subforum would be appropriate for this inquiry. However, responses indicate that the topic leans towards philosophy, which is not suitable for the forum. The moderators clarify that discussions of a philosophical nature are not permitted, leading to the closure of the thread. A link to a related article is provided, but the overall consensus is that the forum is not the right venue for this type of discussion.

Hi everyone,

I’d like some guidance on where (and whether) I can post about an idea that tries to unify all processes—in physics, chemistry, even cognition—as transformations of matter, energy, or information. I’m convinced this concept (or something very similar) is probably well-established or discussed somewhere in mainstream science, so I’m not claiming it’s new.

I have a short summary ready if it’s allowed—basically just asking if a recognized theory like this already exists, or if there are references I could look into. Which subforum would be the right place for such a question, and does it meet the guidelines here?

Thank you in advance for any pointers!.

This sounds like Philosophy. Full disclosure: PF is not really the place for philosophy.

We really don't discuss things that are more on the philosophical side, so PF is not the place for such a discussion. I hope you understand. Thread will stay closed.
