More British humor (@pinball1970 and others)...

I saw a couple of my favorite sketches by Mitchell & Webb again. I probably have posted some of them before elsewhere on the forum a long time ago.

But I felt like sharing them here since I think they are hilarious 😁.

Enjoy...!

"Who's the captain?" (four short ones)

"Evil Vicar"

"Are we the baddies?"

"Moon landing conspiracy"

...and...

"Stalin vs Hitler (arguing the moral toss)"

🙂

Apologies for insensitivity but the funniest part was the tire - not satisfied with causing the car to jump and flip ten feet in the air - comes around and hits it in the arse after it lands.

There is no such place. It's all a hoax to get you to buy their furniture. Like Häagen-Dazs® ice cream. That's what started it, when that was such a hit.

I had never considered that a typical umbrella [with a relatively pointed tip] makes a nice little lightning rod.

Not what you would call a "big picture" person.

And not exactly in line with the Brookings Report. LOL!
https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015003453936&view=1up&seq=5

PS. The Brookings Report {Produced by the Brookings Institute for NASA in 1961] mentioned the potential consequences were we to contact an alien race by radio telescope, and possibly eventually through a direct encounter. The report warns that historically, when relatively highly advanced civilizations come into contact with far less advanced ones, the less advanced societies are radically affected. The concerns about such an encounter with a highly advanced species are profound.

So it is quite funny to hear this young woman express her indifference to her perception that aliens are officially here. She already believes it but is more worried about the rent! This is not quite the deeply rooted emotional reaction, the collapse of authority, the death of religion, etc., etc, etc, that some people worry about were such a reality to be recognized. This made me laugh.

Just like brushing my kitty LOL!

PS. The Furminator is amazing!!! It made a HUGE difference in grooming my cat and totally ended her life-long hairball problem.
