I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for you. I noticed once that I (incorrectly) tried to correct you in one of my threads. For that I apologize. After following your posts and reading your insights, I can truly say that I look up to you. Maybe one day, I’ll have as much to offer.....but I have a long way to go between now and then. Please keep posting on PF, even if I don’t understand all your posts, it gives me something to aspire to.

I have a similar problem,
I am trying to determine the coil speed of a conical telescopic spring from a fully compressed height = spring wire dia to its free length
Can you help me and what data would you need from me to help?

Chet, how long have you been a mentor?

I have no idea what the OP's problem is, but i suspect it arises from copying formulas from somewhere and applying them blindly without understanding what they are about.
