Undergrad What is the meaning of En^+ or En^-
I had thought of that, but I can swear it is not a dagger, it is a +!. Although looking in the resolution of the exercise I'd say that in that case it is indeed a dagger. I'll give you another one: "Calculate the probability that an energy measurement yields the ground state energy; the...- devoured_elysium

Undergrad What is the meaning of En^+ or En^-
The exercise is the following(note that I am not asking for a solution to the exercise, I just want to know what the + stands for!): "An operator U is said to be unitary if U^+ U = U^- U = 1. Prove that if H is hermitian, then exp(iH) is unitary" (Can't find at the moment something...- devoured_elysium

Undergrad What is the meaning of En^+ or En^-
I see in a lot of places things like En+ where E stands for the energy, but I don't get what that upperscript + could be. I see both + and - in the upperscript. Thanks- devoured_elysium

Schools Is DeVry University Worth It? A Comprehensive Review and Analysis
Are saying that doing maths is harder just because you're using another base system opposed to the decimal? You're making a fool of yourself lol:rolleyes:  . That's what I've done in my first semester in my Physics Engineering course in Digital Systems, like everyone of us do! lol!- devoured_elysium

High School Is this correct? Does we can say the body stops?
There is a moment where it effectively stops. Otherwise, how could it invert its way of motion?- devoured_elysium

Undergrad Solving differential equations through matrix
Hello I'd like to know how to solve the following equation with matrix, if possible at all: d ( x^2 ) / dt^2 + w^2 x = 0 I know how to solve it without having to use a matrix, but I heard it is possible to do it with matrix. How about doing it? How is this method called? Thanks- devoured_elysium

Undergrad Help with definitions in linear algebra
Thanks by your replies If I understood well, any matrix with non-zero determinant will be bijective, right? I don't quite get what you mean by domain space and range space. I know what a vector space is. Is it related to it? Thanks- devoured_elysium

Graduate How to prove trace(A.A*) is positive
Hello I'd like to know how to prove that the trace of A.A* is positive. I don't really know how to handle the imaginary part of it. If A has any complex number in it, is it possible to get traces like 10-2i? If yes, do I consider it as a positive number or negative? Thanks in advance- devoured_elysium

What are some tips for learning to play guitar on your own?
well learning instruments by your own is not really a good idea.. learning violin by your own is even worse, as you have to train your ear because unlike guitar you don't have frets, so everything you do has to be by ear, and ear in most people has to be very very well trained for years until...- devoured_elysium
