Advice on Taking a 6 week General Chemistry 1 Class
Hello, I'm currently enrolled in a 6 week General Chemistry 1 class that starts in January. The class meets about 5 hours a day Monday - Friday. I took the introductory chemistry course offered at my college this fall, and I was able to keep an A+ without much trouble. What can I do between now...- Johnx014

Do I need knowledge of trigonometry for this course?
I've started community college after being out of school for a while. I started with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry: I have a strong grasp on all three. The next class offered at my school is Precalculus. Trig is not offered. The PreCalc course description "An intensive preparation for...- Johnx014

Seeking general advice for geometry
Hello, I started my class on geometry a couple weeks ago, and I feel that I'm struggling. I took Algebra 1 and 2 over the summer, and I never had a problem. I passed both of those expedited classes never getting less than an A on any assignment, but I got a C on my first geometry test. I'm not...- Johnx014

Find the next element in the list
Adding to the figure could make it asymmetrical. As would tilting it to move the line of symmetry.- Johnx014

Find the next element in the list
Now I see that all of the pictures are symmetrical. Is it that each figure takes half of the previous figure and realigns it into a new image?- Johnx014

Engineering Visiting local engineering companies
I am a high school senior graduating in a couple of weeks. This summer, I'll be starting college on track to complete a degree in Aerospace Engineering. I'm fairly certain engineering is what I want to pursue, but it's still unclear to me what the engineering work space and day-to-day would be...- Johnx014

Programs Is Harvey Mudd's General Engineering program enough for a career in Aerospace?
I'm in California, so I'm looking at UCs mostly. I'll definitely be applying to UCB, UCLA, UCSB, and UCSD. All of those schools have either Aerospace or Mechanical. The other schools I'm currently investigating and considering are Harvey Mudd, Cal Poly SLO, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, UT...- Johnx014

Programs Is Harvey Mudd's General Engineering program enough for a career in Aerospace?
I am compiling a list of schools to apply to once I finish my lower-division coursework at Community College. Harvey Mudd is among the schools I am considering. I know Harvey Mudd is highly-regarded and their engineering program is ranked number 1 among schools where a master's degree is the...- Johnx014

Transferring from Community College to University for EE
It certainly is possible. I plan on transferring from a CC to a 4 year for engineering. The standards are high, but if you maintain your GPA you'll be accepted. Which state are you from? That would help give a better idea of your options.- Johnx014

Concerns about transferring from CC to 4year for Engineering
I don't mind taking more than 4 years to complete my bachelor's degree. It looks like I overlooked that at least Berkeley does require 6 General Ed Courses for transfer, so it will take me at least 3 years before I can transfer. Those 6 general ed courses would definitely ease the strain if for...- Johnx014

Concerns about transferring from CC to 4year for Engineering
The Engineering schools have the greatest number of prerequisites for their transfers, and they won't even consider your application unless you've completed two courses of general chemistry, 3 introductory physics courses, 2 English Courses, Math up until Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra...- Johnx014
