Using U-Substitution to Find an Integral
So I was messing around with some basic u-sub calculus and came across this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Homework Statement \int \frac{3x^{2}}{x^{2}-7} dx Homework Equations I'm using u-substitution, as stated at the beginning. The Attempt at a Solution I see...- lch7

Can I Become a Physicist Without a College Degree?
Very cool you taught yourself all that, is there a particular question in this thread that you would like answered? Also, I taught myself all of that by age 15, it's cool to see someone with similar ambitions.- lch7

Graduate What exactly is a quantum field
"Physicists use fields to describe the things that don't just have a particular position, but exist at every point in space. For example, you can think about the temperature in a room as a field- it may be different near an open window than near a hot stove, and you could imagine measuring the...- lch7

Graduate Multiple Dimensions in Quantum Theories
Will someone please explain to me how a theory, such as a quantum field theory, be expressed in more than three dimensions? Is this referring to the spatial dimensions we live in now, or what? And how does someone even begin to ponder these multiple dimensions?- lch7

Finding the surface area of a curved object using calculus
The parabola's base or curve is at the origin, the lines point up left and right. I'm focusing on the parabola's part that is to the right of the y axis. So half of a curve rotated around the origin looks like a curvy cone. Thanks for you guys' help, I now have the answers. Thanks!- lch7
