Possibility of spellcheck feature?

If such a thing exists and is feasible, would you benefit from a spellcheck feature in the editor?

Don't know if such a feature exists.

I spend a lot of cycles proofing my posts for SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar - learned that from my writing forum). 90% of that happens after I've posted - which means it becomes PF's problem.

Any such thing as a spellchecker feature that could be integrated in the Editor?

Can you explain what additional functionality you'd like to see in a spellchecker? The current editor already underlines in red the words it doesn't recognize.

What browser you using?

Firefox in Win10 on a laptop for me, and I also see underlined red words and have the option to right-click and Add to my Dictionary. I don't remember if my mobile Chrome browser does this also...

Do you have spellchecking enabled in your browser Settings?

Couldn't we use the free version of Grammarly? Does it include a spellcheck? I suspect they may not permit it for .com s. Maybe we could use it , the free version, at our ends?

Curious as to how the spellcheck algorithm incorporates that knowledge.

According to Google:
"Is prolly in the Oxford dictionary?
It's actually the Oxford Dictionaries rather than the OED with this entry: “informal Probably.” The etymological citation: “1940s: representing an informal pronunciation of probably.” Update: After I posted this, a tweet from Jesse Sheidlower informed me that prolly has a citation in the OED from 1922. Every major browser has some spellchecking that can be enabled. Usually you can add new words to the dictionary, too (try right-click -> "add to dictionary" or similar). That's great for some technical words and other things that you might use repeatedly and don't want to see highlighted.
