Rolling out of bed this morning, bleary-eyed b/c I was up way to late doing astrophotography, and I see sunlit morning dew. I have to photograph it, but I had to re-set all the camera settings while mostly asleep, so I had to 'fix in post', as they say....

The only equipment switch is the lens (large telephoto to small macro), most of the changes are in-camera (ISO, shutter speed, EV, mirror-up shutter delay, etc. etc.). It's (unfortunately) a lot of different settings.

At first I got confused by your question, but now I understand that it seems to be a cultural difference. They are called student caps, and they are so common here that practically every student gets one.

In various European countries, student caps of different types are, or have been, worn either as a marker of a common identity, as is the case in the Nordic countries, or to identify the wearer as a member of a smaller body within the larger group of students, as is the case with the caps worn by members of German Studentenverbindungen, or student groups in Belgium.

Yesterday I went on turistic trail to nature reserve "Łęg Dębowy" near Janów Podlaski. 14 km via meadows, bogs, a few types of forests and Bug river.

Trail starts from Janów Podlaski Stud Farm, known from breeding anglo-arabian and purebred arabian horses.

I saw many storks.

Oh yes, definitely . I live in Malmö, and I've been to Denmark many times;
mostly Copenhagen, but I've also been at the Roskilde Festival quite a number of times (a really great music festival, by the way). And I have visited Bornholm a few times, and participated in the football tournament Dana Cup in Hjörring. And I've had a Dane as a boss once too.

And I've been to Norway too, by the way, but not as much as Denmark.

Many of the concerts at Roskilde Festival are performed under very large tents, and the sound is nevertheless surprisingly good.

Rundetårn in Copenhagen, with stars above (composite, if I remember correctly).
This was a planned shoot, and really, really, REALLY difficult to do .
I shot this late at night in the middle of Copenhagen, and had to fight with
a massive amount of light pollution to get the stars visible. But I was determined to do it, since the tower is originally a 17th-century astronomical observatory.

I think the quality of the music at Roskilde has deteriorated somewhat. But it could also just be me getting older... There seems to be fewer and fewer big names. Make no mistake, I still think it's a good experience but it's also getting more and more expensive. (Yeah, I'm turning into a cynical curmudgeon!)

I have not seen Tuborg here in the US in a long time -- like decades maybe? Carlsberg probably available (?). I will have to remember to look for it. I used to like what I called the 'green bottles' (Becks, Heineken, St Pauli Girl, etc.) but somewhere along there I switched to IPAs. Maybe it's time to go back to lagers...

To be honest they both claim to be the Danish pilsner. Tuborg is the official provider to the Danish monarchy (whatever that means), but the "honor" is being phased out in 2029 after the king took over.

I mostly drink 1/2 litre Harboe "Extra Strong" (7.7% vol). They're cheap and they get the job done!

Not so long ago they sold a French 1/2 litre beer called simply "8.0". The French isn't exectly renown for their beer, but its' a big country so of course they can make a beer. It was actually better than the Harboe one. Don't know what happened to it though.

Coming from England, I learned to understand Swedish in Gothenburg (where I worked for 4 years) and Stockholm, but had difficulty with the "Skånska" accent from the south of Sweden, which to me sounded very similar to Danish in the vowel sounds (a bit like English West Country accents). And Norwegian sounded to me like a Scottish variant of Swedish.

Yes, I agree that Skånsk sounds like Danish. But I guess that also has roots in history, as Denmark lost Skåne, Halland and Blekinge. Ironically I have a harder time understanding Norwegian than I have Swedish. It's probably because the languages Danish and Norwegian are too close (it probably also helps that I have more family in Sweden than in Norway so I've been there more often.)
