Yoko Ono's age of 72 sparks a mix of nostalgia and humor in the discussion, with participants reflecting on her impact during the 60s and 70s. Some express disbelief at her age and the passage of time, reminiscing about music from their youth, such as Nirvana and The Beatles. The conversation touches on the generational gap, with younger users questioning who Ono is, while older members lament the loss of John Lennon and the inevitability of aging. The dialogue includes playful banter about pop culture references, particularly related to The Beatles, and humorous musings on aging, relationships, and life choices. Overall, the thread captures a blend of admiration, humor, and existential reflection on time and legacy.

Yes, that seems to be true, then and now.
Even if he'd lived to get older, she'd still be older than him.

And even if not. But then, were he to and she not, then still?

I think that if he hadn't died he'd still be alive. What I mean by that is that the probabilities of him living to see the year 2005 were greatly reduced by his 1980 death.

Its scary!

What's most scary is that Lennon has been dead for over twenty years now.

It seems like only yesterday that we were smoking the hookah pipe and playing our mandolins by the soft red glow of a lava lamp.

I don't think I can agree with that one.

Need I mention the White Album?

Must not be old enough to know.:-p

How can you not know?

"Be my Yoko Ono" is such a great song. If that can't get you laid, nothing can.

how could Paul be the walrus, didn't Lennon say "I am the Walrus" ? At least, that's what I learned on The Big Lebowski. Then again, Donny was out of his element 'cause they were talking about Lenin...

I'm almost positive the Walrus was Ringo.

But in "Glass Onion", he also said, "The walrus was Paul". Clearly, Paul is the walrus, George is the Taxman, Ringo lives with octopi, and John is a pot-smoking FBI agent. If we were to go just by the song, "I Am Walrus", then John would be both the walrus and the eggman...and that would just be silly.

Lenin left many secret papers in which Stalin was referred to as "The Walrus", due, I suppose, to his large moustache.
