AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the abbreviation of years, particularly the transition from "09" to "10" for 2010. Participants express discomfort with using "10" as an abbreviation, suggesting alternatives like "010" or retaining the apostrophe format (e.g., '10). There is a consensus that while the current abbreviations may seem odd now, people will eventually adapt to them, as they did with earlier years like "00." The conversation also touches on the perception of future abbreviations for years in the 2010s, with some noting that they sound strange at first but will become normalized over time.

I expect to see '10. The apostrophe has been a common replacement for the preceding decimals.
