AI Thread Summary
Building a computer with an AMD 5950x for simulation purposes raises specific considerations regarding overclocking and motherboard selection. Overclocking all cores can negatively impact the tip frequency of high-performance cores, which is not ideal for simulation tasks. The ASUS AMD AM4 Strix X570 motherboard is noted for its unique "auto" function that manages this limitation effectively. Users are seeking additional motherboard options that allow for manual voltage adjustments through software, emphasizing the need for compatibility with simulation workloads. Recommendations for suitable motherboards can be found on tech review sites like Tom's Hardware.

TL;DR Summary
I am building a computer with AMD 5950x. looking a motherboard
I am building a computer with an AMD 5950x which I will be using ONLY for simulation purposes. I've been looking at youtube videos and have found that overclocking all cores limits the tip frequency of high performance cores which his undesirable. ASUS AMD AM4 Strix X570 is the exception to this as it allows you use some "auto" function which limits it on its onw.

My questions are many...

Are there any other motherboard that allow you to change the voltage manually (automatically through software)? Are there any motherboards you would recommend?
