Another thread regarding "voice"

How many of you find the apparent perception of your voice while you're speaking and the actual voice to be dissonant? That is, you have the intentions and the perception of speaking in a cogenial and moderately pitched tone (as the words are leaving), while hearing a recording of it suggests a significantly different tone (low pitched, monotone, slight anger)?

I usually hear a difference whenever I play back a recording of myself, yes. When I'm talking on the phone and have my own voice directed into my ear it also often sounds like the tone is different than the one I intended. The longer the conversation the more I seem to be able to get them in synch, though.
