Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around issues related to the Ansys Maxwell simulation software, specifically regarding a simulation that appears to be stalled while attempting to calculate the inductance of a copper coil. Participants are seeking solutions to improve the simulation's progress.

Discussion Character

  • Technical explanation, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant reports that their simulation is not progressing and is stuck at a certain stage, asking for potential solutions.
  • Another participant emphasizes the need for more detailed information about the problem to provide effective assistance, highlighting the importance of clarity in the initial query.
  • A third participant points out the presence of warning/error messages in the message manager, suggesting that these may be relevant to the simulation issue.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus, as the discussion is cut short with the thread being closed before a resolution is found.

Contextual Notes

The initial post lacks sufficient detail about the specific problem being addressed, which may hinder the ability of others to provide meaningful assistance.

simulation doesn't seem to be progressing. always stuck at this stage, see progress bar.

any ideas how to solve? thanks!

(btw I am trying to simulate it to get results of inductance for the copper coil)

What exact problem are you solving? We cannot see the screen clearly enough to help.
When you ask a question devoid of information that we need to help, then one or more of these happens:
1. You get lots of questions, the answers for which could have been posted at the start.
2. The post is ignored for a long time
3. Somebody complains to the mentors about a bad question, we try to fix the question with #1 or #4
This thread, right at this point, is close enough to useless to warrant being closed, FYI. I am trying #1 right now. You can guess what happens next if things do not improve.
4. Question is too vague to ever be answered, thread gets closed. Everyone loses.
5. You get humor like the wugga-wugga joke.
6. You actually provide enough information to help answer your problem. Everyone wins! Because are here to help. You came here for help.

Right off the bat I see two warning/error messages in your message manager. try looking into those.
