Fellow researchers out there,

I am not a mathematician. However, I have come across in solving few cumbersome integrals involving the whittakerW function in my research. If anyone has come across a technique which gives a simple approximations for the WhittakerW function please respond.

The specific Whittaker function I am looking at is the following,

W_{-1/2,0}(z) ,

For the problem I am looking at generally, z< 1 . The approximation need to fit well for the z values close to 0.
