Biology Help: Sperm & Egg Cells, Genes & Their Functions

AI Thread Summary
Genes are located in the nucleus of both sperm and egg cells. They serve as the instructions for building and maintaining an organism, influencing traits and functions. In the context of chimpanzees, the competition among sperm from different males highlights the role of genetics in reproduction. Understanding the genetic contributions from both parents is crucial for studying inheritance and evolution. This discussion emphasizes the importance of genes in reproductive biology.

Biology Help !

Female cimpanzees often mate with more than one male. The different males' sperm cells race each other to reach the egg first. Both Modja and Tatu have mated with Tanu in the last hour.

a) In which part of a sperm cell and an egg cell are the genes found?

b) What do genes do?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't get how to argue it. i can prove: evolution is the ability to adapt, whether it's progression or regression from some point of view, so if evolution is not constant then animal generations couldn`t stay alive for a big amount of time because when climate is changing this generations die. but they dont. so evolution is constant. but its not an argument, right? how to fing arguments when i only prove it.. analytically, i guess it called that (this is indirectly related to biology, im...
