Sell Boer, Survey of Semiconductor Physics

AI Thread Summary
This discussion highlights a comprehensive 1438-page hardcover book that thoroughly examines p-n junctions, metal-semiconductor contacts, and the interactions of phonons and photons in semiconductor devices, including diodes, LEDs, solar cells, transistors, and MOSFETs. The book is in excellent condition, featuring a flawless dust jacket and minimal markings, though the pages show signs of aging. It has been deemed essential for developing high-power RF switching devices. The seller is parting with the book and pledges to donate 20% of the proceeds to the American Physical Society to support education and science advocacy.

Unbelievably complete work (1438 pages!) covering all aspects of p-n junctions, metal-semiconductor contacts, phonon and photon interactions, and the operation of common semiconductor devices from diodes and LEDs to solar cells to transistors and MOSFETs. Hardcover book with flawless dust jacket. Free of markings except for small name stamps on inside cover and flyleaf. Pages are tanned with age. I found this book indispensable when I was developing high-power RF switching devices--but those days are long over for me, so it's time to let it go.
