Calculating Strain in Wood Compression for Plotting Stress

How can I calculated the wood strain in compression to plot it with stress, if the data that I have is the length and several extension data. The extension data corresponds since the 0 load to the the failure. Thanks.

Since the equation for Strain is: ΔLength/Initial Length

In order to make a plot of strain Should I calculate the strain at each point by dividing each extension over the Initial Length?
