Can computer engineering and geology prepare me for petroleum engineering?

Will a major in computer engineering and a minor in geology (leaning towards geophysics) give me the necessary qualifications and a competitive applicant for a position as a petroleum engineer should i not be employed as a computer engineer

Why don't you check the curriculum required to become a petroleum engineer and see how well it matches up having with a major in computer engineering and a minor in geology?
