Can Dust Shed Light on the Big Bang Theory?

I am a physicist studying cosmological consequences of light extinction due to absorption of light by galactic and intergalactic dust. In particular, I am interested in the evolution of the early universe and in controversies and tensions in the Big Bang theory.
