Can I post Operations research problems in Physics Forum?

AI Thread Summary
Operations research problems can be posted in the Physics Forum, but the appropriate section depends on the specific nature of the research. Since operations research spans various fields, including applied mathematics and engineering, it can fit into different categories within the forum. If a post is placed in a less suitable section, moderators may relocate it later. The emphasis is on taking action and posting in any relevant area rather than waiting for the perfect choice, as perfection is unattainable in operations research.

That will depend on the Operations you are Researching.
OR crosses the normal boundaries of science, so it may be applied mathematics, engineering, or general discussion.

As any OR officer knows, perfection is impossible. If it turns out there was a second-best place, then your thread will be moved there later by a moderator. In the meantime, stop procrastinating, pick the third-best place, and post it there. By definition, if you post it somewhere, that place will always be third-best. That is OR.

Fall colors are here, no mosquitos, no deer flies, and mild temperature, so my morning run was unusually nice. Only two meetings today, and both went well.
