How did you find PF?
Via Google search
Hi, I'm Paul and I'm 50 years young. I do computer programming, recently started 3d printing, and an now interested in magnets, especially for making objects levatate. I would love to make a floating light, either with vertically placed magnets suspending an object between them, or with a floating platform to support said object.

Thanks for the link 🙂 I've already done some research and I know that a levitation platform is very difficult to achieve without electromagnetic systems and sensors. I will post a question about it elsewhere.

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
