Hello folks

I'm worried something wrong is going or
may be I'm way too concerned about it
as I had studied science after my 12th grade.
But People here in gulf selling car silencers
Mud. The Mud gathered in Cars silencer
filters are sold at very high prices
I have heard that the Mud or whole filter box
purchased by some locals and than
exported to Dubai from there these mud containers
are exported to Spain or Iran. There is no info regarding this Mud on the Internet that where and for what purpose they use this Mud. Heard it is used by the black world people for atomic purposes please do your searches dear members and inform about it. Is it normal or threatening to our society from gulf. Saad

The catalytic converters in the exhaust systems of modern cars contain platinum, which is valuable enough (at about $1000/ounce not much less than gold) that people will recycle the converters to recover the platinum.

I'm working in a country in Gulf. In the industrial area where every single maintenance workshop owner have this rumor and they sell this material very often

It is. It's even done on a industrial level.

Look for "catalytic converter recycling".

From the video below:
The ground ceramics will be shipped to specialised mills to be reprocessed. 90% will be used to spray catalytic converters, with the remaining 10% going to medical and jewellery.
