Heya everyone!
I'm a student at the University of Groningen in my 3rd year of BSc physics. Right now I am looking at masters to which to apply for next year.
My priority lies in industry/getting a stable job quickly after the programme ends, as I do not want to deal with the uncertainties associated with working in academia.
From my research so far I've seen that the best suited subfields for my priorities are applied/engineering physics, semiconductor physics, computational physics and that quantum computing is on the rise. So far I do not think I will get a phd even though I would like to do so.
The universities I am looking at the most right now are TU Delft, TU Munich and KU Leuven, as I read they are all connected with large industries. I was also looking at ETH Zurich but due to the ludicrous cost of living I don't think I would want to attend there.
I want to ask about your experiences, does anyone have any recommendations, either for the best universities or for general tracks to aim for in my studies. Is getting a phd worth it and how hard is it to get a job and what will help me the most.
