Homework Statement


I have a critical path diagram (see below):

The duration of each task is listed, as is the earliest start time (the number in the left side of the box) and the latest start time (the number in the right side of the box). Note that there is a dummy between G and H, and G and J.

The question asks: Several activities can be delayed without increasing the minimum completion time. Which of these activities can be delayed for the longest time

The Attempt at a Solution



My logic is that both B and D can be delayed for 28 minutes each. Similarly, E and G can be delayed for 8 minutes each. Therefore I would say the answer is B and D.

However, the solutions state that the answer is D (no further information, or length of delay is provided).

Of course. An oversight on my behalf. So that means D can be extended by 28, while B, G and E can only be extended by 8.
