Danish Scientists

I must admit that since I'm from Denmark, Danish scientists are especially interesting to me. And since meeting @TensorCalculus on here I notice women of the trade more than before. Here's one, although it's not exactly news. I'm also not sure what the practical applications are. OTOH all research is worthwhile IMHO:

I didn’t catch that myself until I read her Wikipedia page.

At least to add Niels Bohr, he was about as famous as you can get in Physics.

In my philosophy-thread I posted about H.C. Ørsted who may have gotten the honour of discovering the connection between electricity and magnetism but in reality another physicist beat him to it.

I'm on this public computer where they (for some obscure security-reason disabled copy/paste), so you'll have to find it yourself in the "Biographies, History, Philosophy of Physics" thread in the forum: "Art, History, and Linguistics"

EDIT: But I guess those sort of errors are par for the course in science.
