Homework Statement
#3 on this PDF
Homework Equations
\tau = Frsin(\theta) = I \alpha
I=mr^2
The Attempt at a Solution
Here's what I've done:
\tau = Frsin(\theta) = I \alpha
F=QE
2QEsin(\theta) \frac{A}{2} = 2M\left(\frac{A}{2}\right)^2 \alpha
simplify:
QEsin(\theta)A = \frac{1}{2}MA^2 \frac{d^2\theta}{dt^2}
\frac{d^2\theta}{dt^2} - \left(\frac{2QE}{MA}\right) \theta = 0
I'm not sure how to get the period.
I know that \omega = 2 \pi \frac{1}{T}
but I'm stuck here. Any help would be much appreciated.
