Quantum Do you have a quantum physics book? Can I borrow it?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around finding resources for learning quantum physics. Participants suggest searching for books by adding "pdf" to the title in Google to locate free resources. A specific recommendation is made for a quantum physics and cosmology book, noted for being accessible though not deeply detailed. However, there is a reminder about the importance of copyright, emphasizing that sharing copyrighted materials is not permitted. A link to a set of quantum physics notes is provided as a legitimate resource, and users are directed to a Free Physics Books thread for additional options.

If you look up the title of a book and follow it with ¨ pdf¨" in google you can find it

<Link to copyrighted material removed>

thats a good start for quantum physics and cosmology.
I am aware it is pop-science and isn't in too much detail but it is a good place to get into it.

You can't "borrow" a pdf. Note that we are very strict about copyright at PhysicsForums and will not allow the sharing of copyrighted material.

This thread only works as a summary from the original source: List of STEM Masterworks in Physics, Mechanics, Electrodynamics... The original thread got very long and somewhat hard to read so I have compiled the recommendations from that thread in an online (Google Drive) spreadsheet. SUMMARY Permits are granted so you can make comments on the spreadsheet but I'll initially be the only one capable of edition. This is to avoid the possibility of someone deleting everything either by mistake...
By looking around, it seems like Dr. Hassani's books are great for studying "mathematical methods for the physicist/engineer." One is for the beginner physicist [Mathematical Methods: For Students of Physics and Related Fields] and the other is [Mathematical Physics: A Modern Introduction to Its Foundations] for the advanced undergraduate / grad student. I'm a sophomore undergrad and I have taken up the standard calculus sequence (~3sems) and ODEs. I want to self study ahead in mathematics...
