The discussion revolves around feelings of shame regarding humanity and the desire to escape to another planet, particularly Mars, where the poster believes smarter beings might exist. Participants engage humorously, questioning the poster's perspective and suggesting that feelings of superiority are unwarranted. They discuss the challenges of living in a rainforest, highlighting the adaptability of native species compared to humans. The conversation touches on environmental concerns, particularly oil spills, and the perceived incompetence of human efforts to address such issues. There is a recurring theme of feeling alienated in a world that seems increasingly irrational, with some suggesting that instead of seeking escape, one should work towards positive change within society. The dialogue blends humor with serious reflections on human nature and societal shortcomings.

Rain forests don't have much food that can be eaten by humans. That's why the native inhabitants eat anything they can, insects, rodents, reptiles.

Plus sooner or later someone is going to come and chop down that tree. It seems that destroying the natural habitat of wildlife has become a top priority for the human kind, and all the tree huggers aren't doing any good besides reinforcing the ex global warming, now climate change hoax, that aims to introduce new taxes and nothing more...

Ah, but Monsanto is bringing protein enhanced Cassava to these regions, but of course, with a cap and after that, a price. That is a lot of what you eat in a jungle.

So, am I the only one who saw this thread and immediately thought of Porno for Pyros?

I'm feeling a bit shamed by the human race currently do you think I could defect to the martians? Has anyone else ever wondered if it was possible to be relocated to a planet with smart people? I mean really what did I do wrong to be stuck here with ya'll?

Martians would like Uranus.

Eh if monkeys can take it so could I.

Maybe this is your problem. You underestimate monkeys by thinking that you are capable of anything they are capable of because you are more intelligent. You give no consideration to the fact that they are adapted to live in that environment and you are not. Unless you are some kind of rain forest survivalist guru, you are not a superior surivalist compared to a monkey in its natural habitat. Those simple monkeys could have a lot to teach you about how to survive if you used real intellect to learn from them, rather than pseudo-intellect to assauge your insecurities.

You're not alone on Mars, or in the rain forest. You're just lonely, feeling superior without any frame of reference, refusing to learn how to survive from the primates that are thriving all around you. I don't expect you would fare any better on Mars or in the rain forest than you do in society until you admit to yourself your inclination towards pessimistic resignation. That at least would be a conscious decision.

What are you doing asking a bunch of shameful imbeciles questions? Wouldn't you be better off asking the aliens directly?

Also, using correct punctuation will help us idiots understand your superior intellect.

Your sense of humour is outstanding.
