Junior high performance, including a 2.85 average, is unlikely to impact college applications, especially for students aiming for competitive universities. High school grades, particularly from freshman year, are often not heavily weighted by admissions committees, with many prestigious schools focusing more on junior year performance and overall improvement. It is advised to concentrate on personal interests and academic growth rather than fixate on college admissions at this stage. Engaging in extracurricular activities and maintaining a balanced approach to education can be more beneficial than stressing over past grades. Ultimately, the consensus is that junior high grades are not a significant concern, and students should focus on their current studies and personal development.

Ki Man, good thing that freshmen year doesn't matter to a lot of colleges ;)

I got two Cs freshmen year, and several Bs, *only* three As. The University of Arizona is offering to pay for my tuition if I choose to attend. Just make sure you don't get a C in a math or science class.
