Resonance in mechanical vibration occurs when the frequency of an external force matches the system's natural frequency, leading to a significant increase in amplitude. This phenomenon can result in amplified vibrations, potentially causing structural damage or failure. Understanding resonance is crucial for designing systems that can withstand or avoid excessive vibrations. The discussion emphasizes the need for clear problem definitions and relevant equations to analyze resonance effects effectively. Overall, resonance plays a critical role in the behavior of mechanical systems under vibration.

Sorry, your question is hard to interpret. Could you please post more details, including the problem definition, any relevant equations, and your attempt at a solution?

The equation and solution I found. I wonder what is resonance and what are its effects

Resonance is the gradual increase of the amplitude of the wave when the forcing term has the same frequency as the natural frequency.
