What are different technologies that use electric and/or magnetic field? I already know some such as a toaster, loudspeaker, and MRI, but can someone suggest to me some more? Preferably, I am looking for simple technologies, such as the toaster.

I'm not sure if these are the kind of examples you are looking for, but you might want to consider photocopiers, electric guitars, and electronic stud finders. There should be plenty of sites on the web giving details of how they work if that is needed.
